VIRGINIA BEACH POLICE HOST GANG AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION WORKSHOP
On Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at 6:30 p.m., the Virginia Beach Police Department’s Special Investigations and Crime Prevention Unit will host a workshop on Gang and Delinquency Prevention for Parents at the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library, 4100 Virginia Beach Boulevard, Virginia Beach, VA. Those attending the workshop will learn what they can do daily, at home and in their communities, to prevent their children from becoming involved in gangs and/or delinquent behavior.
MPO Leta Krieger of the Virginia Beach Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit will be a presenter this evening along with Detective Frederick, Special Investigations. Information will also be presented on existing Virginia Beach gangs and what efforts are being made to combat gangs and crime in Virginia Beach. Questions and concerns will be addressed.
The presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the main auditorium. Participants should arrive by 6:30 p.m. to sign in and enjoy appetizers and refreshments in the Folio Room. This presentation is a joint venture between Virginia Beach Police Department and the Hampton Roads Rotary Club.
