Newport News Bank Robbery At Wachovia 11006 Warwick Boulevard
CRIME LINE TIP LEADS TO ARREST OF BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT
At approximately 7:05 P.M Wednesday, January 6, 2010,
During the robbery, Lynch entered the bank, approached a teller and produced a note implying that he was armed and demanding money. The teller complied and gave him an undisclosed amount of money. He then left the bank on foot.
This is yet another perfect example of how the community, the media and police working together, through Crime Line, are able to solve crimes and take dangerous criminals off the streets of our communities.

Update 12/29/09: Robbery Detectives have obtained warrants for 54 year old Michael David Lynch for the robbery of Wachovia Bank. He is wanted for robbery, entering a bank with the intent to commit larceny, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Mr. Lynch’s last known address is in the 10200 block of Warwick Blvd. However he was evicted from his apartment on Monday, the day of the bank robbery.

BANK ROBBERY
At about 10:53 A.M. Monday, December 28, 2009, a white male entered Wachovia located at Cedar Lane and Warwick Blvd (11006 Warwick Boulevard). The suspect approached a teller and handed her a note which implied he had a weapon. The teller complied with the note and provided an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the bank on foot traveling toward the rear of the shopping center (Warwick Village Shopping Center).
The suspect is a white male in his 40’s with a full beard and eyeglasses. He was wearing a dark colored pullover sweatshirt and a baseball cap.
At the time of the robbery, there were several customers and employees inside the bank. No one was injured.
