Bank Robbery at Wachovia Bank on Warwick Blvd and Cedar Lane in Newport News

At about 10:53 A.M. Monday, December 28, 2009, a white male entered Wachovia located at Cedar Lane and Warwick Blvd (11006 Warwick Boulevard).  The suspect approached a teller and handed her a note which implied he had a weapon.  The teller complied with the note and provided an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect left the bank on foot traveling toward the rear of the shopping center (Warwick Village Shopping Center).

The suspect is a white male in his 40’s with a full beard and eyeglasses.  He was wearing a dark colored pullover sweatshirt and a baseball cap. 

At the time of the robbery, there were several customers and employees inside the bank.  No one was injured.
